This week's share is a little up in the air today. A few new vegetables are 'almost' ready, but it's hard to say if they'll be ready for Thursday. But you can likely expect green onions, garlic scapes, spicy greens, and hopefully one or two new things.

We decided to have delivery the week of July 4th. A couple of you are on vacation, so just let me know and we can work something out for later in the season. It won't really work out to skip a week because so many things will be ready to harvest.

Hope everyone has a safe and fun Independence Day! Here is a quote that seems fitting:

We on this continent should never forget that men first crossed the Atlantic not to find soil for their ploughs but to secure liberty for their souls. ~Robert J. McCracken

Isn't it lovely that summer is finally here? Well, jumping from temps in the 60's to the 80's is a bit rough, but it doesn't feel right to complain, does it? Hope everyone enjoys the sun while it's here.

At home, the kids activities are winding down so hopefully I'll be able to get these posts out a bit sooner. A couple customers have expressed that they'd like to know what they're getting in their share ahead of time. By the end of June, our evenings will be more free and I should be able to manage a post by Monday or Tuesday.

Yay for greens! We're so excited for spring greens!
In this weeks share you received:
  • Green Onions
  • Green Garlic-this is garlic picked before it grows into a bulb. Cut the bottoms and use in stir fry or any other recipe that you'd use garlic cloves in. Perfect if your garlic stash is depleted.
  • Rhubarb-I tried a delicious rhubarb punch the other day! Also try making a rhubarb coffee cake.
  • Greens-this mixed is called Ovation, a brassica greens mix
  • Radishes

Happy, Healthful Eating!
