These are a few early morning pictures of the farm. The angle of the sun, smell in the air, and birds chirping at 6 AM is just so peaceful.
I can't believe we're so far into the season already! Everything is in full swing. Micah spends most nights and weekends trying to keep up on picking, weeding, and germinating new crops. Planting occurs all summer in order to ensure veggies will be available until the end of the season. This week we picked the last the peas. The kids are so sad to see those go. I even find pea pods in my car! We also harvested the rest of the garlic which is now hanging in the barn to dry. We take particular care to properly cure it so that it stores well thru the winter. This week we expect your CSA share to include purple cabbage, tomatoes, eggplant, swiss chard, summer squash, and the last of the peas.
