Your last share of the 2017 season includes this beautiful "Candy Corn!" So sweet and delicious! Just remember it's no-spray and organically grown, so there might be a worm or two. If you're squeamish, just cut off the top inch before you pull it back.

Your share also includes Gold Ball turnip, Danvers carrots, onions, and Liberty apples.

Enjoy your fresh, local produce and we hope you can find some time to take advantage of these warm, end of summer days.

What a season! We hope you have been enjoying your bountiful shares. September means the yields are winding down. We are already pulling plants, planting cover crops to enrich the soil for next year, and thinking about what we'd like to grow in the next season. A hint of fall has been in the air, and we're looking forward to apple pie and hearty soups and stews.

In today's share, expect tomatoes, beans, beets, eggplant, peaches, plums, and greens. We also included a 1/2 dozen eggs produced by our organically-fed hens. Our delicious peaches are ready to eat as soon as they're ripe, but do not store well. So make sure you enjoy them immediately!

FYI, next week will be the final share of the 2017 CSA.
