There has been a learning curve to our first spring growing in the high tunnel. While it seems like it would be pretty straight forward, it has taken some time to adjust to, for example, changes in temperature. A bright sunny morning mean the internal temp quickly climbs to over 100 degree F! That means getting out there early to open the vents and sides to increase air flow. So no sleeping in! Just kidding..we have two small children..enough said.
Micah has also finished installing all the drip irrigation, so no more schlepping water out to the field. Woohoo! So even though this seems like the longest spring on record..things are growing. Now we just need the fields outside the high tunnel to dry!
